Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gaurav Bhatia on Friday said that all corrupt leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party will celebrate Holi Milan in jail this year. The remarks came after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case linked to a money laundering case.

Speaking to ANI, BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia said, "Holi Milan of all these corrupt AAP leaders will be behind bars. Congress is the mother of corruption and Arvind Kejriwal is its son. Earlier, the same Congress party leaders had said that Arvind Kejriwal is accused of this excise policy scam and he should be behind bars. Now the same Congress party is standing in support of Arvind Kejriwal." Notably, two senior AAP leaders, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, are in judicial custody in the excise policy case. Sisodia, who was the then Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, was arrested by the CBI on February 26 following several rounds of questioning. On October 5, ED arrested Sanjay Singh, who is a Rajya Sabha member.

Gaurav Bhatia further said that Arvind Kejriwal went against the ideals of his 'guru' Anna Hazare and made a fraudulent liquor policy. "Anna Hazare has been the 'Guru' of Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal used to say that if a person is accused of corruption, he should first resign from his post, and when he is freed from all charges, only then should he resume his duties. Arvind Kejriwal went against the ideals of Anna Hazare and made a liquor policy. The decision of the courts should be respected," he said.

The Rouse Avenue Court on Friday reserved its order on pleas by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking 10-day-custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The ED arrested him a day before in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor scam case and produced him before the court of Special Judge Kaveri Baweja. Arvind Kejriwal's arrest came days after the ED arrested K Kavitha, Bharat Rashta Samithi (BRS) leader and daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, in connection with its investigation into money laundering charges linked to the now-scrapped excise policy.
