Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has expressed confidence that the Congress party will secure at least 10 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state during the upcoming elections. He further asserted that the INDIA bloc is poised to establish a government at the Centre.
During an informal interaction with journalists, Reddy highlighted a BJP post on social media platform 'X,' which claimed that the party would win four to five Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. The Chief Minister countered this assertion, stating that while the BJP might win a handful of seats, the BRS (Bharath Rashtra Samithi) would barely secure one, with the AIMIM retaining its stronghold in Hyderabad.
Reddy, who also serves as the president of the Telangana Congress, criticized the BJP-led NDA government for its lack of meaningful contributions to the state over the past decade. He committed to ensuring that critical portfolios in the Union Cabinet are allocated to Telangana if the INDIA bloc ascends to power. Additionally, he emphasized the public's desire for Sonia Gandhi's presence at the upcoming state formation day celebrations, indicating the Congress's plans to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Telangana's statehood on a grand scale.
