Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid homage at Mahatma Gandhi's memorial at the Raj Ghat on Sunday, marking his first stop before surrendering at Tihar jail later in the day. Accompanied by his wife Sunita Kejriwal and several AAP leaders, Kejriwal made his way to the memorial around 3 pm.
Next, Kejriwal visited the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place to seek blessings before heading to AAP’s office on Rouse Avenue Road. Addressing workers and leaders, he thanked the Supreme Court for granting him interim bail, which allowed him to campaign for the Lok Sabha polls until June 1.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Kejriwal urged his supporters to take care of themselves, expressing his concerns for their well-being. He concluded his message with a patriotic 'Jai Hind' before his imminent return to Tihar jail.
