As Uttarakhand prepares for the crucial vote count on Tuesday, the political temperature is rising. The primary question on everyone's mind is whether the BJP will clinch all five Lok Sabha seats for an unprecedented third term, or if the Congress can break its losing streak. Both parties have a lot at stake, with the BJP fielding two new candidates, including former Chief Ministers Trivendra Singh Rawat in Haridwar and Anil Baluni in Pauri Garhwal. These high-profile seats have seen fierce competition, with Congress stalwart Harish Rawat campaigning vigorously for his son Virendra Rawat in Haridwar.

In Pauri Garhwal, former PCC president Ganesh Godiyal is putting up a spirited fight against BJP's Baluni. Godiyal's campaign has drawn significant crowds, indicative of the tight contest. The results from Nainital, Almora, and Tehri Garhwal, where incumbent MPs Ajay Bhatt, Ajay Tamta, and Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah are seeking re-election, are also eagerly anticipated. Exit polls have suggested a clean sweep for the BJP, but the actual results could bring surprises.

The counting process will commence at 8 am with tight security measures in place. A total of 884 counting tables have been set up across the state, and the Election Commission has deployed 27 observers to oversee the process. In a press conference, Chief Electoral Officer BVRC Purushottam stressed the integrity of the counting process, ensuring that the opening of strong rooms and transportation of EVMs to counting centers will be videographed for transparency.
