On Tuesday, acclaimed actor Kangana Ranaut triumphed in the Mandi constituency of Himachal Pradesh, clinching victory over her closest competitor, Congress's Vikramaditya Singh, by a substantial margin of 74,755 votes, as per the Election Commission's website.
Ranaut, stepping into the political arena for the first time as a BJP candidate, secured 537,022 votes in her debut Lok Sabha election, marking a significant milestone in her career. Following the announcement, the 37-year-old shared a video on her official X page, where she was seen signing official documents, captioning her post, ‘Mandi ki sansad.’
Prior to the final results, Ranaut, a four-time National Award winner, took to Instagram to express her heartfelt gratitude to the people of Mandi, dedicating the victory to their unwavering trust in Prime Minister Modi and the BJP. ‘This is the victory of Sanatan and in the honour of Mandi,’ she penned.
