BJP MLA Alleges Security Removal Conspiracy Amid Polls

BJP MLA of Loni constituency, Nand Kishor Gujjar, has accused senior police officials of orchestrating a conspiracy to remove his security escort during the election period. The MLA's accusation aims at keeping him away from campaigning, which he suggests was an effort to cause BJP's defeat in the sensitive Loni assembly.

In a letter dated June 7 and addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) of Uttar Pradesh, Gujjar alleges that senior officers removed his security personnel to put his life at risk, claiming he could have been murdered. He also pointed to a similar conspiracy against the MLA of Muradnagar.

Gujjar accused the Police Commissioner of colluding with the opposition and providing security to individuals involved in illegal activities such as murder, extortion, and theft. Despite threats from fundamentalist entities, Gujjar expressed gratitude for remaining safe. He remarked on the deteriorating law and order situation, questioning whether he should seek refuge in another state. Ghaziabad police commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra was not available for comment. Notably, BJP candidate Atul Garg won the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha seat with a significant margin.
