O R Kelu to Join Kerala Ministry, Major Portfolio Shuffle Expected

Mananthavady MLA O R Kelu will be inducted as a minister in Kerala's CPI(M)-led government, replacing K Radhakrishnan. Kelu, a tribal community leader from Wayanad, is expected to handle the Scheduled Castes and Tribes portfolio. The Chief Minister's Office has sought the Governor's convenience for the oath-taking ceremony on Sunday.

In a significant development, O R Kelu, the Mananthavady MLA, is poised to join the CPI(M)-led LDF government in Kerala. Kelu will take over from K Radhakrishnan, who recently resigned after winning a Lok Sabha seat.

Kelu, who belongs to the tribal community in Wayanad, is expected to oversee the Scheduled Castes and Tribes portfolio. The Chief Minister's Office has already reached out to Governor Arif Mohammed Khan to schedule Kelu's oath-taking ceremony for Sunday afternoon.

Kelu emphasized his commitment to addressing community issues and leveraging his grassroots connections for regional development. His induction is anticipated to prompt minor adjustments in existing ministerial portfolios.
