West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced her plans to meet prominent political figures in Mumbai, including Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and NCP leader Sharad Pawar, to discuss the current political scenario.
Speaking to reporters before departing for Mumbai to attend Mukesh Ambani's son's wedding, Banerjee mentioned she will also meet Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
'Mukesh Ambani Ji's son is getting married and they have invited me multiple times. Given Mukesh Ji's past support for the Biswa Bangla convention, I decided to accept the invitation,' she remarked.
On her political engagements, Banerjee said she will be meeting Thackeray for 'political talks,' and she has also scheduled meetings with Pawar and Yadav. All are significant players in the national opposition scene alongside the Congress.
