The attack resulted in the deaths of four Indian Army soldiers, including an officer, during a confrontation with terrorists.
Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge strongly condemned the attack, expressing grief over the loss of life and criticizing the Modi government’s response. Kharge emphasized the need for a recalibrated security strategy, urging national unity against cross-border terrorism. He highlighted recent statistics showing a surge in attacks and casualties since the Bharatiya Janata Party’s third term began.
People's Democratic Party Chief Mehbooba Mufti and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi echoed similar sentiments, criticizing the government for its inability to curb terrorism and holding it responsible for the increasing casualties among soldiers. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Jitendra Singh expressed condolences and called for a collective response to defeat terrorist activities.
