Ajit Pawar's Ahmednagar Tour: Women-Centric Sops in Focus

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is set to tour Ahmednagar on Monday, aiming to directly engage with women regarding recent sops announced in the state budget.
Among the locales on his itinerary are Parner and Karjat Jamkhed. The Parner MLA, Nilesh Lanke, who switched to the Sharad Pawar faction, won the Ahmednagar Lok Sabha seat, unseating the BJP's Sujay Vikhe Patil. In Karjat Jamkhed, the assembly seat is held by Pawar's nephew Rohit Pawar, a known critic aligned with the Sharad Pawar faction.
The tour will also extend to Ahmednagar city and Shrigonda, focusing on understanding women's issues and promoting government schemes such as the Ladki Bahin Yojana, provision of three gas cylinders, and free education for female students, according to NCP's lone Lok Sabha MP from Maharashtra, Sunil Tatkare. Additionally, Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde has been appointed as the NCP's national spokesperson and Rajesh Vitekar as the state's unit spokesperson.
