The Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) on Friday took its first significant step towards the Maharashtra assembly polls by releasing a book titled 'Kale Karname' (black deeds) targeting the ruling Mahayuti government.

State president Jayant Patil criticized the coalition government, labeling it a 'trouble engine' instead of a 'triple engine,' while emphasizing the misgovernance and corruption prevalent under Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Apart from the book, the NCP (SP) also launched the 'My Dream Maharashtra' campaign, inviting suggestions from citizens for their manifesto. This initiative aims to crowdsource ideas to shape the party's vision for the state's future, focusing on engaging the youth.
