National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah has strongly critiqued the lieutenant governor's administration in Jammu and Kashmir, attributing the deteriorating security situation in the Jammu region to their alleged negligence. In a recent statement, Abdullah accused the current administration of weakening the security grid, thereby facilitating increased terrorist attacks on security forces in recent months.

Abdullah emphasized that the LG administration's 'carelessness' has led to the present security challenges in Jammu. 'We are no longer worried about Kashmir; our concern has now shifted to Jammu,' he remarked. He added that without changes in the administration, no significant improvements in the security situation could be expected.

Turning his attention to the Union Budget, Abdullah criticized the document for lacking provisions specific to Jammu and Kashmir, despite the state's high unemployment rates and developmental setbacks. He also pointed out that the budget seemed to favor certain states due to coalition politics, describing it as a 'coalition bachao budget.'
