Trump Denies Musk's Campaign Donation, Opposes Electric Car Mandate

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday refuted claims that billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, had promised to contribute $45 million to his campaign. Trump disclosed that Musk never discussed such a donation with him.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump expressed his opposition to the imposition of a mandate requiring universal adoption of electric cars. 'I disagree with the electric cars for everybody,' Trump stated. 'You want to have a choice, and that includes electric.'
Earlier this week, Musk, who has publicly endorsed Trump, also denied the Wall Street Journal's report alleging his commitment of $45 million to Trump's campaign.
