The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) plans to protest outside the LG Secretariat in Delhi on Monday, calling for action against officials who allegedly failed to complete the desilting of the city's drains.
This announcement follows the tragic deaths of three civil services aspirants, who drowned when their coaching centre's basement in Old Rajinder Nagar was flooded after heavy rainfall.
AAP legislators and council members are demanding the dismissal of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) commissioner. The incident has incited a political conflict, with the BJP labeling the deaths as 'murder' and accusing the lieutenant governor of inaction, while AAP argues that officials are not held accountable under the current administration.
