Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday vowed to elevate the state to the number one position in the country. Engaging with the Water Users Association representatives in Sunnipenta, Nandyal, the Chief Minister also committed to advancing Srisailam's status as a prominent pilgrimage site.
"It is my responsibility to promote Srisailam as a divine center," Naidu asserted. He emphasized that ample water resources can generate wealth, which will, in turn, boost government revenue and aid in poverty eradication. Naidu underlined the importance of building a society free from poverty and assured comprehensive state development.
The Chief Minister promised that the state government would generate and distribute wealth to benefit the underprivileged and extend welfare to all societal sections. Highlighting social justice as a core NDA policy, Naidu stressed the need for water to avoid turning the state into a desert and reiterated the aim of economic and poverty alleviation.
Naidu expressed his desire for Andhra Pradesh's youth to seek opportunities globally, likening his vision to the development of Hyderabad as a global city. He, along with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to make India a leading nation worldwide and Andhra Pradesh the top state in India.
Lauding the Supreme Court's favorable order on SC categorization, Naidu noted the significance of social justice within the NDA framework. "I implemented the SC categorization into A, B, C, and D after establishing the Ramachandra Rao Commission in 1996-97," he stated.
Ministers N Md Farooq, BC Janardhan Reddy, Nimmala Rama Naidu, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, and various MLAs and officials, including the district collector and police representatives, were present at the event.
