Trump's Campaign Fundraising Falls Short of Harris' First Week Haul

Former President Donald Trump's campaign reported raising USD 138.7 million in July, significantly less than Vice President Kamala Harris' USD 200 million haul in her first week after President Joe Biden endorsed her.

Trump's campaign currently holds USD 327 million in cash as the November election nears, while Harris' team has yet to disclose their July totals. Harris' entry into the race has energized new donations and volunteer support.

The Republican National Committee and other Trump-aligned groups had previously raised USD 331 million from April to June, slightly surpassing their July pace. A possible boost came after Trump survived an assassination attempt, leading to increased support and his announcement of Ohio Sen. JD Vance as his running mate.

Meanwhile, Harris has intensified her campaign efforts, traveling more and releasing ads criticizing Trump. With Democratic delegates set to formally nominate her on Monday, Harris is expected to announce her running mate soon.
