Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Friday rebuked Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, stating it is the country's 'misfortune' to have him in such a position. Singh accused Gandhi of spreading disinformation, following Gandhi's claim that he is awaiting an ED raid with 'open arms.'
The Congress MP, in response, alleged that the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) was preparing a raid on him post his 'Chakravtyuh' speech in Parliament on July 29. He shared his readiness on social media, offering chai and biscuits to the ED personnel.
BJP MP Dinesh Sharma and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar supported Singh's statements. Majumdar emphasized that Gandhi would face arrest if corruption charges were validated, while Sharma highlighted that public trust in Gandhi’s words is waning due to his alleged misinformation and restlessness.
