Congress MLA Mukesh Bhakar faced suspension from the Rajasthan Assembly for six months starting this Tuesday, following his defiance against Speaker Vasudev Devnani's orders to exit the House.

The uproar began when Congress MLAs obstructed marshals from removing Bhakar, who had previously been suspended for 'indecent behaviour' on Monday. In defiance, Bhakar and other opposition legislators staged an overnight dharna in the House's Well.

The commotion carried over into Tuesday’s session. Despite the Speaker's repeated requests, the Congress MLAs continued to protest, leading Devnani to enforce Bhakar's six-month suspension upon Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg's proposal. The session was then adjourned sine die.
