Bangladesh President Dissolves Parliament Amid Political Turmoil

Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was also released, and the release process for people arrested in recent protests has begun.
In a significant move, Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin dissolved the parliament on Tuesday, following the resignation and departure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina amid extensive protests.
The dissolution decision emerged after discussions with the chiefs of the armed forces, political leaders, and civil society representatives, according to a statement from the president's office cited by the Daily Star newspaper.
Additionally, BNP Chairperson and former premier Khaleda Zia has been freed. The process for releasing individuals arrested between July 1 and August has also commenced, with many already freed. This move sets the stage for new elections in the country.
