In the wake of his inaugural political defeat, BJD president and ex-chief minister Naveen Patnaik has announced a statewide tour commencing in November, aimed at reconnecting with the electorate and party members.

The announcement came during the BJD's state coordination committee's maiden meeting. This committee, led by senior leader Debi Prasad Mishra, was formed to oversee district-level activities in the absence of state office bearers following their dissolution by Patnaik.

Designed to rejuvenate party morale following an electoral loss to the BJP, Patnaik's upcoming tour also includes a push for organizational restructuring and increased social media engagement to communicate the party's initiatives.
