BJP Forms 132-Member Committee Ahead of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Polls

The BJP announced a 132-member State Election Management committee for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Three-time MP Jugal Kishore Sharma has been appointed as chairman. The committee includes Assem Gupta as convenor and Rajiv Jasrotia, Pawan Khajuria, and Shouqat Gayoor Andrabi as co-convenors.

The BJP has unveiled a 132-member State Election Management (SEM) committee on Thursday in preparation for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls.

Jugal Kishore Sharma, a three-time MP and newly appointed whip in the Lok Sabha, will chair the election campaign committee, according to a party spokesperson.

Ravinder Raina, Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief, announced the committee in consultation with national president J P Nadda, G Kishan Reddy, Union minister and Jammu and Kashmir election in-charge, and national general secretary Tarun Chugh. Assem Gupta has been named as convenor, with Rajiv Jasrotia, Pawan Khajuria, and Shouqat Gayoor Andrabi serving as co-convenors.
