Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri landed in Kathmandu on Sunday for a two-day visit aimed at bolstering India-Nepal relations. He was greeted by Nepalese Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal upon arrival.

The visit aligns with the tradition of regular high-level engagements between India and Nepal, emphasizing India's commitment to its Neighbourhood First policy. Misri is scheduled to meet Prime Minister K P Oli, President Ram Chandra Poudel, and Foreign Minister Arzu Rana.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), this trip demonstrates the priority India places on relations with Nepal and offers an opportunity to further enhance bilateral cooperation. The Foreign Secretaries will discuss ways to strengthen ties and advance mutually beneficial projects, reflecting the longstanding cultural and people-to-people connect between the two nations. Numerous infrastructural and connectivity projects, supported by Indian assistance, have significantly enhanced collaborations recently.
