Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday voiced her concern over a recent encounter with terrorists in Jammu's Doda district, emphasizing that the country remains united against terrorism. She called on the central government to implement strong measures.
Priyanka Gandhi, in a Hindi post on X, expressed her sorrow over the martyrdom of an Indian Army officer in the encounter. She extended her condolences to the family of the officer and urged for peace to the departed soul.
In the past four months, there have been 83 terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of 20 soldiers and 14 civilians, she noted. The recent encounter in Doda is one of several incidents, highlighting the escalating violence ahead of Independence Day.
