Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, expressed deep sorrow on Thursday as the national flag could not be hoisted at the CM residence due to his imprisonment.
In a heartfelt post on X, she criticized the 'dictatorship' that has imprisoned an elected chief minister but emphasized that it cannot quell the patriotism that resides in his heart.
Meanwhile, AAP minister Atishi contended that Kejriwal was falsely framed. She invoked the struggles of freedom fighters, stating, 'They would not have imagined that in an independent India, an elected Chief Minister would be framed and jailed.'
Atishi pledged to continue fighting against dictatorship, reaffirming their commitment on Independence Day. Kejriwal is currently in Tihar Jail over a money laundering case linked to excise policy. While he has secured bail in the ED case, he remains detained by the CBI.
