Kerala CPI(M) Blames UDF for Communal Videos Amidst 'Kafir' Campaign Row
The ruling CPI(M) in Kerala has accused the Congress-led UDF of spreading communal and objectionable videos during the Lok Sabha polls in Vadakara, countering continued criticisms from the UDF regarding the 'kafir' campaign. The CPI(M) emphasized that the UDF was behind the controversial campaign and that LDF had previously lodged a complaint against it.

Amid ongoing criticism from the UDF over the 'kafir' campaign controversy, Kerala's ruling CPI(M) has turned the tables, accusing the Congress-led opposition of distributing 'communal and objectionable videos' during the Lok Sabha election campaign in the Vadakara constituency.
CPI(M) state secretary M V Govindan alleged that the UDF carried out these actions and stressed that CPI(M) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) maintained a single stance on the matter. Govindan claimed that the UDF had prior experience in creating and sharing such content.
Govindan's comments come as the Congress continues to accuse the CPI(M) of pursuing a communal campaign through the 'kafir' narrative just before the Vadakara polls. The opposition has also recently charged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan with protecting perpetrators of the divisive campaign.
