BJP MLC Shashil G Namoshi has called for Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation over allegations in the MUDA scam. Namoshi asserted that if the Congress party truly believes in the Constitution, it should ensure Siddaramaiah steps down before facing investigation.

This demand follows Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot's decision to permit the prosecution of Siddaramaiah concerning the alleged misuse of powers in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). Namoshi emphasized that Siddaramaiah must respect the Constitution and resign before any probe.

Reacting to the Governor's decision, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced that Congress will initiate state-wide protests on Monday. The demonstrations aim to challenge the Governor's move, with leaders and workers protesting across all district centers. Siddaramaiah, however, denies any wrongdoing, claiming everything was done legally and that he exerted no undue influence on plot allotments.
