The Karnataka High Court has instructed the trial court to refrain from taking immediate action against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in relation to the Governor's prosecution sanction in the MUDA 'scam'.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's legal advisor, AS Ponnanna, stated that the sanction order and the Governor's prior approval have been contested in court. Ponnanna highlighted the urgency exhibited by the Governor in issuing the sanction and pointed out that several other applications remain pending.
The High Court bench, led by Justice M Nagaprasanna, declared that no immediate action should be taken until the next hearing on August 29. The bench emphasized that proceedings in the trial court would obstruct the case being heard by the High Court.
