Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has hinted at a potential alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the upcoming Haryana polls. In response, AAP Haryana state president Sushil Gupta confirmed on Wednesday that talks are in progress, and party workers will comply with the high command's decision.

'Today we have a road show and public meeting in Haryana. Manish Sisodia is attending. Campaign activities are underway across all 90 assembly seats. We are contesting the Haryana elections with full strength. Discussions about an alliance are ongoing. Aam Aadmi Party is a disciplined party, and we follow our high command's orders. The current directive is to fight in all 90 seats and unseat the BJP government,' Gupta stated.

'Our high command is deliberating (about the alliance), and any decision made will be in the national and state's interest, and all Aam Aadmi Party workers will abide by it,' he added. AAP MP Sanjay Singh welcomed Rahul Gandhi's alliance suggestion. 'Our priority is to defeat the BJP... Our in-charge Sandeep Pathak and Sushil Gupta will discuss and decide, keeping Arvind Kejriwal informed,' Singh said.

Sources mentioned that during the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting on Monday, Rahul Gandhi sought the opinions of Haryana Congress leaders regarding the AAP alliance for the forthcoming assembly elections. The elections will be held in a single phase on October 5, with vote counting on October 8.
