AAP Warns Congress Over Haryana Assembly Polls Alliance

Amid uncertainty over an alliance with the Congress for the Haryana assembly polls, AAP issued a stern warning on Saturday. The party indicated that anyone underestimating their strength would 'regret' the decision.
AAP National Secretary (Organisation) Sandeep Pathak declared during a press conference that the party was ready to contest from all 90 seats in the upcoming Haryana elections with full force.
He stated, 'We are fully prepared and waiting for the party's order. As soon as we get the 'go' word, we will announce everything. Those who underestimate us will themselves regret it in the future.'
Alliance discussions between AAP and the Congress have reached a deadlock over the number of seats. AAP demands 10 seats, but Congress is only offering five to seven, according to insiders.
Haryana heads to the polls on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations set for September 12.
Earlier, AAP Chief National Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar mentioned that talks were ongoing, expressing hope for a resolution. 'Talks are ongoing, so it's too early to comment,' Kakkar said when asked about seat distribution if they align with Congress.
AAP has been persistently campaigning in Haryana, with Sunita Kejriwal, wife of party chief Arvind Kejriwal, holding public meetings on Saturday.
'We are ready to contest on all 90 seats,' reiterated Kakkar.
AAP sources revealed that alliance talks were on the verge of 'collapse', suggesting the party might contest 50 seats and reveal its candidate list soon.
In the recent Lok Sabha polls, AAP and Congress contested in an alliance in Haryana, Gujarat, and Delhi. AAP contested the Kurukshetra seat in Haryana, where their state unit chief Sushil Gupta lost to BJP's Navin Jindal.
