TMC, DMK Lead the Way in Women's Leadership for Parliamentary Panels

Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien criticized the lack of female leadership in the newly-constituted parliamentary committees on Friday, noting only two of the panels are chaired by women.

The Commerce Committee is led by TMC's Dola Sen, while the Consumer Affairs Committee is headed by DMK's Kanimozhi.

In a post on social media platform X, O'Brien commended TMC and DMK for 'walking the talk' on gender representation, in contrast to other parties. He remarked, 'Only two parties, the TMC and the DMK, have truly walked the talk.' He added, 'Bravo TMC's Dola Sen heading Commerce and DMK's Kanimozhi heading Consumer Affairs.'
