The Israeli military confirmed on Sunday the elimination of another high-ranking Hezbollah official, Nabil Kaouk, in an airstrike.

Nabil Kaouk, deputy head of Hezbollah's Central Council, was targeted and killed on Saturday. Hezbollah has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.

In recent weeks, several senior Hezbollah figures have been killed by Israeli airstrikes, including the group's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, in Beirut last Friday. The militant group has also faced sophisticated attacks on its communication devices and numerous air raids. Despite this, Hezbollah continues its missile assaults on northern Israel, most of which have been intercepted or landed in uninhabited areas.

Kaouk, who joined Hezbollah in the 1980s, previously served as the group's military commander in southern Lebanon. In 2020, the United States imposed sanctions on him.
