Prashant Kishor, known for his role as a political strategist and now turned activist, unveiled his new political outfit, Jan Suraaj Party, on Wednesday at the Veterinary College Ground in Bihar's state capital.

The event featured several prominent personalities, including former Union minister Devendra Prasad Yadav, diplomat-turned-politician Pavan Varma, and ex-MP Monazir Hassan, underlining the party's potential significance.

This launch follows Kishor's extensive two-year, 3,000-km-long padayatra across Bihar, beginning at Champaran, the site of Mahatma Gandhi's first Satyagraha. Kishor aims to mobilize the public for a 'new political alternative' that promises to address Bihar's persistent problems of backwardness.
