Haryana Elections: BJP Suffers Major Setbacks Despite Securing Third Term

In the Haryana assembly polls, eight out of 10 ministers in the Nayab Singh Saini government were defeated. In the recent Haryana assembly elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faced a significant upheaval with eight out of 10 ministers from the Nayab Singh Saini government facing defeat.

Despite this, the BJP will form the government for the third consecutive time, overcoming anti-incumbency sentiments among voters. A noteworthy loss was experienced by assembly speaker Gian Chand Gupta who lost his Panchkula seat to Congress' Chander Mohan.

In an unexpected turn, independent and Congress candidates claimed victory in several key constituencies. Ranjit Singh Chautala, contending independently after being denied a BJP ticket, finished third in the Rania seat.
