In a grievous act of violence, a terror attack claimed the lives of two non-local labourers and injured two others in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Sunday. According to officials, terrorists unleashed gunfire on a camp housing workers from a private firm engaged in tunnel construction.
The victims, who died instantly at the scene, were identified as non-local labourers, with two others sustaining injuries and currently receiving medical treatment. A concerted search operation has been initiated by the police and army to apprehend the culprits responsible for this tragic incident.
This alarming occurrence comes merely four days after the formation of a new government in the Union Territory. Expressing profound condemnation, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah highlighted the potential rise in casualty numbers and extended prayers for the injured, some of whom are in critical condition and receiving treatment in Srinagar.
