Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's Strategic Candidate Line-up for Assembly Polls

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Wednesday unveiled its initial list of 35 candidates for the impending assembly elections in the state, slated for November 13 and 20, with results expected on November 23.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren will contest from Barhait, while his wife, Kalpana Soren, will vie for the Gandey seat. Hemant is an incumbent MLA, having triumphed in the 2019 assembly elections by a margin of 25,740 votes.
JMM will be collaborating with the Congress, RJD, and Left parties under the INDIA bloc banner. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will lead the opposition front, fielding candidates in 68 of the 81 seats, challenging the existing political dynamics in the region.
