Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress general secretary, officially entered the electoral fray as she filed her nomination for the upcoming Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll, marking a significant milestone in her political career.

At a large rally in Kalpetta, Priyanka reflected on her 35-year journey in politics, starting from her campaign efforts for her late father, Rajiv Gandhi, at the age of 17. This announcement comes in response to BJP's candidate Navya Haridas, who claimed greater experience in public representation.

Joining Priyanka were Congress stalwarts like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, affirming their support. The bypoll, set for November 13, follows Rahul Gandhi's decision to vacate the Wayanad seat. Priyanka faces opponents from LDF and BJP in this contest.
