Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, unveiled a strategic vision to champion 'Work From Home' initiatives across the state, with a spotlight on empowering women. In a statement posted on X, he outlined plans to significantly integrate women, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), into the workforce in acknowledgment of International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
Naidu highlighted the pandemic-driven shift towards remote work as a pivotal force reshaping job dynamics. He cited the potential of remote work, coworking spaces, and Neighbourhood Workspaces to revolutionize productivity and create flexible work environments conducive to a work-life balance.
The CM elaborated on Andhra Pradesh's IT & GCC Policy 4.0 as a transformative initiative offering incentives for infrastructure developers, thereby catalyzing grassroots employment, particularly benefiting women professionals through remote or hybrid work models. Naidu asserted that educated women should not remain confined to domestic roles and advocated for training to enable job opportunities for women in rural and semi-urban locales.
