In a dramatic turn of events, YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi was arrested by Andhra Pradesh Police in Hyderabad on Thursday. The arrest relates to an attack on a TDP office during the previous YSRCP regime. Authorities apprehended Vamsi from a luxury apartment complex in the Hi-Tech City area.
Vamsi, a former Gannavaram MLA, was charged under various sections, including the BNS and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Despite having secured anticipatory bail, the arrest notice was executed, reigniting tensions between political factions in the region.
YSRCP accused the TDP-led NDA government of orchestrating 'false cases' against their leader, alleging political vendetta. They questioned Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's motives, citing a recently withdrawn complaint by the original petitioner, further fueling the political dispute.
