Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, launched a fierce critique against the Telangana government on Friday. He accused the administration of failing to fulfill its promise of creating two lakh jobs within a year, highlighting that despite issuing a notification for 25,000 positions, none have been filled to date. Kumar's remarks came during his visit to the Peddapalli district headquarters as part of the local MLC election campaign.
Speaking alongside local political figures, Kumar targeted the Congress government, accusing it of betraying unemployed youth, employees, and teachers. He pointed out the ongoing struggles faced by graduates across various disciplines, noting that none of the promised jobs have materialized. Furthermore, Kumar criticized the government for its unfulfilled pledge of providing Rs 4,000 monthly unemployment assistance, claiming Congress now owes Rs 56,000 per unemployed individual.
As the elections approach, Kumar urged graduates, employees, and teachers to support BJP-backed candidates, framing the election as a battle between Congress's alleged misgovernance and BJP's pursuit of integrity and progress. The MLC elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are scheduled for February 27, with results to be announced on March 3.
