The political scene in Tamil Nadu is heating up as disputes over the three-language policy escalate. Bharatiya Janata Party leader Rachna Reddy has criticized Chief Minister MK Stalin for allegedly politicizing the issue, asserting that there's no threat to the Tamil language.
Reddy, in an interview with ANI, questioned Stalin's stance, asking why it is problematic to educate students in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, and others. She accused Stalin of teaching 'divisive ideology' and failing to address rising crime in the state, instead choosing to focus on political posturing.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan defended the National Education Policy 2020, clarifying that it does not impose any specific language on states. The conflict also involves financial concerns, as Stalin's request for Samagra Shiksha funds hinges on adhering to the policy, further stoking political tensions.
