In a charged political atmosphere, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Delhi is set to unveil 14 reports by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) during the Delhi Assembly session. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar has called on the government to prioritize governance and honor electoral promises.
Addressing the media, Kakkar insisted that the BJP's focus should be governance, recalling that the previous AAP government had streamlined the process of presenting the reports. She raised concerns about the alleged overspending on the Dwarka Expressway project and potential financial misconduct in the Ayodhya project.
Amid these allegations, Delhi BJP chief Virendraa Sachdeva and other officials countered, asserting that the CAG reports would expose AAP's alleged corruption. The session promises a hotly contested political tussle as the reports are tabled after the Lt. Governor's address.
