Puducherry's Chief Minister N Rangasamy revealed plans in the territorial Assembly for hosting an investors' meet aimed at attracting industrialists to the Union Territory. The initiative is part of efforts to foster economic growth.
The Chief Minister responded to inquiries regarding the slow implementation of decisions, attributing delays to administrative challenges unique to Puducherry's governance structure as compared to Tamil Nadu. He emphasized the need for statehood to overcome these issues.
During zero hour, AINRC legislator Chandira Priyanga advocated for more women's police stations, citing the significant female population in Puducherry and concerns over inadequate infrastructure for handling women's complaints. The government remained non-responsive to this request during the session.
