US National Security Adviser Michael Waltz is set to visit India next month, marking the second visit from the Trump cabinet aimed at unveiling high-tech cooperation initiatives. The visit, expected between April 21 to 23, signifies strengthening India-US ties, according to sources familiar with the developments.

As part of continuing efforts to solidify bilateral relationships, Waltz will introduce the India-US TRUST initiative, replacing the iCET introduced during Joe Biden's presidency. This initiative follows last year's collaborative strides in semiconductors, critical minerals, and advanced telecommunications.

The visit also aligns with broader foreign policy objectives as US Vice President JD Vance and his family consider touring key Indian cities, reinforcing strategic and cultural bonds. Meanwhile, the focus intensifies on trade as Assistant US Trade Representative Brendan Lynch discusses tariffs during his New Delhi visit.
