In a scathing critique delivered on Wednesday, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav condemned the eight-year governance of the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh administration, highlighting allegations of corruption and stagnation. Yadav accused the state government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, of disconnecting Kannauj from development despite claiming significant achievements.
Yadav pointed out an unprecedented situation where a celebrated IAS officer is now a fugitive, raising questions about the state's integrity. This comes after CM Adityanath marked his government's eighth anniversary, lauding its contributions to service and governance.
During the anniversary celebrations, attended by key political figures including the Deputy Chief Minister, CM Yogi expressed gratitude for public support. Highlighting a transformative eight-year journey, he claimed a shift from a previously dire scenario, emphasizing improvements in state identity, economy, and law enforcement.
