AIADMK's M Thambidurai launched a critical offensive against the DMK-led government in Tamil Nadu, condemning them for fiscal missteps and unfulfilled electoral pledges during a session on the Finance Bill 2025 in the Rajya Sabha.
He voiced concerns over the state's burgeoning debt, which has surged past Rs 8 lakh crore, with Rs 4 lakh crore amassed during the current DMK tenure. Thambidurai questioned the government's accountability concerning these funds.
Allegations were made against DMK for reneging on promises, citing increased taxes and utility costs. Thambidurai underscored AIADMK's determined stance to protect Tamil Nadu, while taking a swipe at former FM P Chidambaram's perceived bias during the UPA regime.
