Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has secured a historic fourth term in office as his Socialist Party triumphed in the recent parliamentary elections, official data confirmed Tuesday.

With 94% of votes counted, the Socialist Party held 52% as opposed to the Democratic Party's 34%, sparking debates over election integrity. If results stand, Rama's party would hold 82 seats in the 140-seat parliament, offering him a comfortable lead.

The international community has raised concerns about the election's fairness, citing the misuse of public funds and voter intimidation. However, Rama remains focused on Albania's EU membership by 2030, despite skepticism about this timeline.
