Assam panchayat elections results: BJP wins all major seats

Opposition Congress has won 481 seats, while 64 seats have been bagged by AIUDF, 17 by Raijor Dal, four by Trinamool Congress, three by Assam Jatiya Parishad, one by AAP and 173 by Independents.
In Zilla Parishad (ZP), the BJP has won 274 seats along with 27 seats by its ally AGP. Congress bagged 72 seats, while eight were won by AIUDF, three by Raijor Dal and 13 by Independents, the ASEC data showed.
''Election to 21,920 Gaon Panchayat wards were held without political party sponsorship and accordingly results were declared for the said wards,'' it added.
The total seats include 21,920 Gram Panchayat (GP) members, with 10,883 seats reserved for women. Voting also happened for 2,192 Anchalik Panchayat
