In a bold diplomatic move, Spain's Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Albares, has declared that he will propose to the EU Council an immediate suspension of the pact that regulates the EU's relationship with Israel.
This decision comes amid allegations of human rights violations in Gaza, which Albares highlighted as a pressing concern that demands European attention and action.
Further steps include urging the council to enact a weapons embargo targeting Israel and to implement sanctions on individuals deemed detrimental to the peace process, in particular, those opposing the two-state solution.
