In a political showdown, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday challenged Rahul Gandhi to produce evidence of alleged election rigging by the Election Commission. Singh urged Gandhi to substantiate his claims of possessing an 'atom bomb' of evidence, insinuating that the Congress leader is making baseless accusations.
Gandhi reiterated his claims of having evidence that will shake the electoral system and alleged that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were manipulated. He plans to protest in Bengaluru, while BJP has called for any proof to be submitted to the Election Commission or the Supreme Court.
The Election Commission has dismissed Gandhi's allegations as baseless, and Rajnath Singh criticized the opposition leader for making frivolous claims against a constitutional body. The BJP emphasized its faith in the democratic process, questioning Congress's stance given its recent electoral successes.
