The Punjab unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has named Gurpreet Singh GP as the head of its Scheduled Caste (SC) wing, a key move in strengthening its grassroots connections.

Gurpreet Singh contested in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Fatehgarh Sahib but did not succeed. Alongside his appointment, ten state secretaries have been designated for the SC wing, as stated in the party's announcement.

This strategic organizational restructure includes two secretaries each for the Majha and Doaba zones and six for Malwa. Additionally, 28 district in-charges have been appointed, with separate roles for rural and urban districts.
